Throwbacks vs Batiri (Chikara)

Dasher Hatfield put this up on his twitter recently and its worthy of reposting.  I'm quickly becoming a Sugar Dunkerton fan as well.  Story telling, mic work, well articulated characters, and insanely good wrestling.  Chikara is the bees knees.

Backstage Fallout 3-18-2013

Humanity and character development. This video does more for their roster than they did during the entirity of last night's show. Which if it weren't for Punk and Pancake would have been the worst three hours of professional wrestling I've ever seen.  I'm not being overdramatic.

Ric Flair & CM Punk vs Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke (WWE/ECW)

Game recognize game.  Wooooo.

Dirty Dutch Mantell v. Jerry The King Lawler - Barbed Wire Match (AWA)

I read a fantastic interview last night with Nashville's Dirty Dutch Mantell where he spoke on comparing Memphis to ECW and how to book a promotion so that your fans will be passionate about what you offer.  So in the spirit of Memphis here's a barbed wire match between Dutch and The King for the world title in 1982 at the famous Mid-South Coliseum.  Part 2 after the jump.

Jerry Lawler Wrestles with Girls

In 1986 Jerry Lawler released a song entitled "Wrestling With Girls".  He doesn't do too much in the way of mincing lyrics to hide what he means.  He really hasn't changed much.  During this particular episode of The Jerry Lawler Show (that was a thing) the King performs his hit song live and discovers what a sampler does.  Memphis...

Sugar Dunkerton Vs Sami Callihan (F1P)

Two guys I'd love to see on NXT soon.
Recorded Feb 2011 for Force 1 Pro.

The Emotions of Monday Night Raw

The double edged sword that is the plight of a Paul Heyman Guy.  I'm going to go watch ECW Unreleased Vol 1 again now.

Scott Hall Needs Our Help

Professional wrestlers risk their lives every night they step into the ring and some come away with personal demons they have to work out after their moment in the spotlight.  Here's a way to thank a legend in the best way possible.

Video collection of Razor Ramon vignettes after the jump.

Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle (TNA)

In all honesty, I never really watch TNA.  But I like Joe and I like Kurt.  And this seems to be in contention for the greatest thing Dixie and Jeff's promotion has ever produced.  Five star worthy if you ask me.  Filmed at Genesis in 2006.

El Ligero vs El Generico (1PW)

I've never watched this promotion before.  But I probably will for the rest of the night.  I'll be the loudest OLE in my section til they put it on a t-shirt.

Rachel Summerlyn vs Hamada (JAPW)

Recorded Jan 9th, 2010 for Jersey All Pro Wrestling Women's Division.

Rest In Peace Paul Bearer

Easily one of the most memorable managers of all time.  Ohhh yeah.

Stone Cold vs CM Punk (promo)

Not only because this never gets old but because one week later he put on one of Steve's shirts and cut the promo of his life.

Best.

Mailing In Wrestlemania

Just pretend he's pointing to the sign.

It's time we face facts.  Wrestlemania is not for us.  Take a deep breath and let that sink in.  The granddaddy of them all, while a celebration of everything that is professional grappling, is meant for the mainstream audience.  Vince McMahon knows you and I will watch regardless.  Its the fringe fan that tunes in for entertainers and celebrities like Rock and Snooki who's dollars they're reaching for.  And yes we should feel betrayed.  But also foolish if we ever expected anything different.  That is how its always been.  Perhaps I'm still not completely over Daniel Bryan losing his Wrestlemania debut and the WHC title in 18 seconds to Sheamus because he kissed AJ last year.  It felt like Vince just fired me.  At Wrestlemania.  But in tradeoff they gave us Punk vs Bryan for the next three ppvs in a row.  Seriously, that was the best.  So I know my day is coming so forgive me if I grumble too much about the current state of affairs.  But something does seem oddly strange about this year's grandest stage of them all.  And its not just that once in a lifetime turned into twice in a year.

Chris Hero vs Eddie Kingston (CZW)

Just watch.
